Job Description:
We are seeking a motivated research scientist for
- Process and Mechanical design of all components of the proposed micro-modular reactor (MMR) concept design, which includes the chimney, SG and the primary circuit
- Analysis of the primary system to ensure that all design and safety criteria are met
- Preparation of drawings and specifications for all components
The successful candidate will work closely with our team of experts and focus on the following deliverables
1) Key publications in reputable journals
2) Design and perform simulations, experiments and support with research management
3) Support supervision on B.Tech/M.Tech/PhD students
Educational Qualifications
- Graduate in Mechanical/Chemical engineering
- PhD from reputed institutions in Mechanical/Chemical/Nuclear engineering
- Fresh PhD scholars can also apply
- Excellent academic record throughout is an added advantage
Work Experience
- Familiarity with design codes like ASME Section III and Section VIII Div 1
- Knowledge of programming language FORTRAN-90 and C++ essential
- Prior experience of computer code development
- Familiarity with design codes for steam generators and other heat transfer equipment
- Hands on experience with thermal hydraulic system codes like RELAP/TRACE/CATHARE
- Hands on experience in the use of CFD codes like Fluent, COMSOL, CFX, etc.
Preferable
- Knowledge of Python and MATLAB
- Thermo-mechanical design flexibility analysis of process equipment and systems
