Dr. Neha Mehta is an Assistant professor at the School of Chemical Engineering, University of Birmingham and is a member of the Birmingham Centre for Energy Storage. She pursued her BTech (Hons) from the National Institute of Technology Raipur, India (2012), followed by an MTech from the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (2014). In 2019, she completed her PhD at the University of Turin. She held postdoctoral positions at Queen’s University Belfast until 2022 and the University of Birmingham until 2023. Neha’s area of expertise and research interests lie in the fields of whole energy systems analysis, environmental sustainability, circular economy, and waste-to-energy pathways. In her research she has used a wide range of research methods, including life cycle assessment, spatial mapping and material flow analysis.
