Prof. R. Karvembu is a Professor at the National Institute of Technology (NIT), Tiruchirappalli, India. He holds a Doctorate in Chemistry from the Bharathiar University, Coimbatore. His extensive research spans Coordination Chemistry, Organometallic Chemistry, Catalysis, and Bioinorganic Chemistry, with international recognition, including visiting professorships in Japan, the UK, and Austria. With over 200 research articles, he has made ground-breaking contributions in both basic and applied fields, particularly in the development of effective catalytic systems for industrially important reactions. His work spans diverse areas, including sustainable catalysis, anticancer compounds, and the design of electrocatalysts. He holds memberships in various professional bodies and has earned numerous patents and awards.
