Dr. Bhima Sastri is the Director of Integrated Carbon Management in the Office of Fossil Energy, U.S. Department of Energy. With over 20 years of experience in research and development of chemical and energy technologies, he is leading efforts to repurpose fossil assets to decarbonize the Electric sector and manages R&D funding for various technology areas. He previously served as a Technology Manager at the Advanced Manufacturing Office at DOE and holds positions on the executive board of RAPID, focusing on clean energy manufacturing. Dr. Sastri earned his Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and B.S. in Chemical Engineering from IIT Madras. He is a Fellow of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers.
