Dr. Chandu Visweswariah, a renewable energy entrepreneur, and strategist. He is a co-founder and Vice President of Croton100 and CURE100 (Communities United to Reduce Emissions 100%), community-based environmental not-for-profits. Chandu co-founded and led Utopus Insights as President and CEO previously. His notable career at IBM Research earned him the title of IBM Fellow in 2013, where he headed the Smarter Energy and Environmental Science team. Chandu has a rich technical background with significant contributions in chip design, statistical timing, and circuit optimization. He pivoted from researcher to entrepreneur in 2017, successfully spinning out Utopus Insights from IBM Research and facilitating its acquisition by Vestas, the world’s largest wind turbine manufacturer. His accomplishments include over 100 publications, 119 patents, and leadership roles in environmental not-for-profits.
