Prof. Krishna Vasudevan, a Senior IEEE Member, earned his B.Tech. in electrical engineering from IIT Madras in 1989, followed by an M.E. in electrical engineering from the Indian Institute of Science in 1991, and a Ph.D. from IIT Madras in 1996. He worked at Kirloskar Electric Company in 1991-1992, contributing to UPS system development, and later at M/S Lucas TVS Ltd. from 1996 to 1998, focusing on enhancing automotive alternator performance. Since 1998, he’s been a Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering at IIT Madras. His research interests encompass power electronics for renewable energy, machines, and drives.
