| Amartya Mukhopadhyay, a Professor at IIT Bombay, earned his Ph.D. from the University of Oxford in 2009, followed by post-doctoral research at Brown University. He’s a Young Associate of the Indian National Academy of Engineering and formerly served as the Honorary Secretary of the Mumbai Chapter of the Indian Institute of Metals. His research centers on materials for electrochemical energy storage, particularly alkali metal-ion batteries and engineering ceramics. His accolades include the ‘SwarnaJayanti Fellowship 2020-21,’ recognition as one of the ‘2019 Emerging Investigators’ by the Royal Society of Chemistry (UK), and various awards such as the ‘INAE Young Engineer Award 2016’ and ‘IIT Bombay Young Investigator Award 2014’. |
