V. Subramanian is a Professor in the Department of Physics at IIT Madras and is head of the Microwave Laboratory. He holds a PhD from IIT Madras. Prof. Subramanian’s current research spans Multi-Ferroics, Magnetoelectric materials, Microwave Propagation through periodic structures, Electromagnetic Shielding Interference, Near-field Microwave Microscopy, Microwave Non-destructive Evaluation, and Acoustic Metamaterials. His areas of interest are Microwave Materials, Devices, Propagation and Photonic Crystals and Metamaterials, Multiferroics. His contributions include over 137 journal publications, numerous international and national conferences, and over 20 sponsored projects. He is a Senior Member of IEEE, Life Member of IAPT, and Fellow of The Academy of Sciences in Chennai.
