Development of guide-vaneless bulb turbines, ducted Darrieus hydroturbines, and hydrokinetic runners designed specifically for low-head and low-velocity water flows. The design integrates cavitation-mitigating blade profiles and silt erosion-resistant topographies to maintain continuous operational efficiency in dirty or heavily silted water streams.
Ecosystem & Field Deployment:
Implemented in partnership with state irrigation canal boards, rural electrification agencies, municipal wastewater facilities, and commercial hydro-machinery manufacturers.
