Industrial Biomass & Municipal Sludge Valorization Systems

Problem & Motivation: High-moisture organic waste streams—such as municipal sewage sludge, septage, microalgae, and agricultural residues—require energy-intensive pre-drying, making conventional thermochemical techniques like pyrolysis economically unfeasible. Technological Breakthrough & R&D: The Thaiyur Discovery Campus pilot utilizes subcritical water conditions (high pressure and elevated temperature) to process wet biomass directly into high-energy density biocrude. Innovations include

Smart BESS Architectures for Renewable Firming & Peak Load Shaving

Problem & Motivation: High penetration of intermittent solar and wind energy into power grids creates frequency instability and peak supply mismatches. Standard battery systems face rapid degradation and safety risks when operated under continuous high-ambient tropical temperatures. Technological Breakthrough & R&D: Development of field-tested 1 MWhr to 20 MWhr grid-scale Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS)

Modular Carbon Capture and Utilization (CCU) for Hard-to-Abate Sectors

Problem & Motivation: Mitigating point-source industrial emissions alone is insufficient to meet global 1.5°C climate targets. Hard-to-abate sectors and legacy emissions require scalable, energy-efficient Direct Air Capture (DAC) systems to remove CO2 directly from ambient air. Technological Breakthrough & R&D: Advanced R&D bridges clathrate hydrate gas separation, low-energy solid sorbent regeneration matrices, chemical absorption, and

Zero-Carbon Industrial Thermal Systems for Process Manufacturing

Problem & Motivation: Industrial thermal management, space cooling, and process heating consume over 50% of global industrial energy, heavily relying on fossil fuels. Conventional HVAC and process thermal systems lack the dynamic flexibility required to handle fluctuating loads or direct integration with intermittent renewable energy sources. Technological Breakthrough & R&D: Innovations focus on high-temperature heat
